National Poetry Day

To celebrate National Poetry Day Room 16 created a class poem about our Cross Country Race

Cross Country Day
– by Room 16 Hamilton East School

Run to Jono the Energizer man,
“Follow me,” he shouts.
Jog in a circle,
Turn, turn, turn.
Can we have a drink of water?
Jog to the white line.
On your marks, get set…
Clap!
Run, run, run.
Can we have a drink of water?
Remember your L-shaped arms,
Run like the wind.
You can do it!
Puff, puff, puff
Can we have a drink of water?
Don’t stop, you can do it!
Wobbly legs like jelly,
Peachgrove students run beside to help.
Go, go, go.
Can we have a drink of water?
My heart is pounding,
Go Room 16!
One more hill, almost there,
Cheering, shouting,
Yay! The finish line!
Mrs McK, pleeeease can we have a drink of water?

Buried Alive

We finished our book called 'Cliffhanger' by Jacqueline Wilson.  We loved the adventures that Tim and Biscuits had at the Adventure Camp Centre.
We have found another Tim and Biscuits adventure book called 'Buried Alive'.
We read the first 3 pages and these are our wonderings about what will happen next.

100 School Days

This year we have been counting each school day.
Everyday we problem solved how many more days until we reached 100.
38 + ___ = 100         67 + ___ = 100       99 + ___ =100
Finally...
How many ways can we show 100?

We celebrated with Hundreds and Thousands biscuits!

Delicious!
