Pumpkin Spiced Bread

1¾ cups flour
1 tsp baking soda
½ tsp salt
½ tsp ground cinnamon
¼ tsp nutmeg
½ tsp ginger
2 eggs beaten
1 cup pumpkin puree
50 g butter
¼ cup vegetable oil
1½ cups brown sugar
2/3 cup water

1. Preheat oven to 160 degC on fan bake. Lightly grease one 23 x 13cm loaf pan.
2. Combine 1¾ cups of flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg and ginger in a large bowl and set aside.
3. Beat the pumpkin puree, eggs, butter, vegetable oil, 1½ cups brown sugar and 2/3 cup water until well blended.
4. Gently combine the flour mixture with the pumpkin mixture.
5. Pour into the prepared pan and bake for 45 to 50 minutes.
6. Allow to cool for 10 minutes in the pan, then transfer to wire rack to cool completely.

It is harvest time again. We collected our pumpkins that were planted by classes at the end of 2015.
We estimated their weight.
Weighed them, and compared the weight with our own weights.

We sketched and painted the pumpkins.
