Room 16's perform the song Paradise in sign language

Room 16 learnt how to sing and sign the words to this award winning song by Waimarie Smith from St Peters School in Cambridge in just one week. To celebrate NZ music month we hope that other classes at Hamilton East will also learn this song so we can sing it at assembly on 31st May along with many other schools all over NZ. Enjoy!

    We really injoyed watching your class preform in front of the school.

    This is amazing Room 16...you brought tears to my eyes. I am a music teacher at St Peters, and we are all just so proud of Waimarie and her achievement - I am sure she will love the fact that you added something very special to your performance of her song. Ka pai!!!

    Thank you for sharing this song with the whole school Room 16. Our class still sing this (and sign it) every week. It is one of our favourite songs.
