Room 16 performed this song during Friday's Positive Assembly. As a class we chose this song to learn and perform to the school. We liked its message and that it was written by Primary School kids, just like us!
Newtown Central Primary School won the Hook Line and Sing Along competition with this song two years ago. This year's winners was Waimarie Smith with Paradise which is now sung at many of our assemblies. Maybe this song will also become part of Hamilton East School's collection of songs. Have a listen and let us know what you think.
Welcome, we are Room 16 of Hamilton East School. We are Year 3 and 4 students and we look forward to sharing our learning and special events with you.

This week Room 16 started to think about our school's Cross Country race in week 6. We watched two of the best runners in the world win races during the 2012 London Olympics and discussed what they did to win.
Usain Bolt
Mo Farah
We looked at how they ran and the distance they ran and compared it to running a cross country race. We decided that to run well at our Cross Country race we needed to run like Mo: slow, steady and consistent.
