We made a tally chart to see if Peter would be a boy or a girl. We all had a name for our buddy and there were too many to choose. So we chose the 16 letter of the alphabet as we are Room 16. This letter was P. Our three boy names to choose from were: Peter, Pheenyx and Philip - Peter won hands down with 14 of us choosing Peter.
We all had lots of different ideas on who Peter lived with, so we decided to pick one of each idea. Peter lives with his Dad, his aunty, Grandma, two older brothers and two younger sisters - what a big family!
Peter loves to do P.E. especially running. He enjoys art in class but loves reading the most. He is a great singer and often leads our class at Kapa Haka. He doesn't like play fighting, people being mean or cricket!
You will see Peter with Room 16 throughout the day. Come over and say hi!
Hello Room 16, my name is Katrina and I work at Catholic Family Support Services in Hillcrest, Hamilton. We were so excited to have Peter come to spend some time with us at our office for Buddy Day last week. Peter had a great day with us, he spent some time with our budgeting workers, helping people sort out their money and pay their bills. After he had finished there, the fire alarm went off so I had to pick Peter up and run out of the building to our evacuation point to make sure we were all safe! Luckily it was only a practice fire drill so once everything was checked and it was safe to return to the building we went back inside.
ReplyDeletePeter then helped me to look after the office, answering the phone and meeting people when they came in to see us. All the staff here enjoyed having Peter with us and they even let him sit at my desk with my lolly jar! It was very funny :-)
Thank you all very much for making Peter for us, we have loved having him and have taken lots of photos with him which we have put on our facebook page. Buddy Day is a great cause and you should all be very proud of yourselves for being part of it, well done Room 16!
