At the end of 2012 we sadly said goodbye to Mrs Mckenzie and wished her well with her travels in Europe. I, Whaea Eve, am the lucky new teacher in Room 16 who gets to work with an amazing bunch of Y2 and Y3 students for the whole of 2013.
We have had a great start to the year! We made a treaty which will help us remember what is expected of us and also what we should expect of others in the class so we can learn; we have been learning more about each other during our Tūrangawaewae and maths unit; and most of us have been enjoying our daily swimming lessons that teach us skills on how to be safer in the water.
This is Room 16 on the first day of the new year.
